I slept last night on a bed of heather
Dreaming of the turquoise east.
We'd spent the evening happily together
But I left without saying the gist.
Flowers whispered your name,
But nobody came
To this billion-star hotel of open spaces.
I slept last night on a bed of heather
Dreaming of the strangest of places.
I dreamt last night of beautiful shores
With a bridge in the distance looming.
I walked up the bridge to reach the far doors,
The lotus flower boldly blooming.
There appeared a snake -
And I was awake
At the break of a ravishing dawn.
I dreamt last night of beautiful shores,
But now that dream is gone.
I loved last night with the love of a mother
Who cradles her cherished child
Singing, 'Sleep now, my dear, sleep like your brother,
One day you'll walk into the wild.
You will leave home in spring,
But I will still sing
And pray and forgive like I can.'
I loved last night with the love of a mother.
'My child, you'll be a handsome young man.'
I listened last night to the sound of the sea,
To its waves, to seagulls crying.
I just want this love to set you free,
Set you dreaming - despair defying.
Feel the flute play,
Chase your worries away.
You are now on the road to home.
I listened last night to the sound of the sea,
The sea that I'm free to roam.
I laughed last night while you were around
Basking in your bottomless eyes
Like in the light basks a summer cloud
In the sky that's like paradise.
Towards the sun
I readily run
In the morning when everything's true.
I laughed last night while you were around,
Now you're gone and I'm feeling blue.
I learned last night that life's but illusion,
That it's hollow and fake without love,
It is scary, tough and full of delusion.
Where's the herald of peace the white dove?
In the coldest of cold
We must always be bold -
There's a chance of winning the game.
I learned last night that life's but illusion,
But why not live all the same?
I lived last night, the healing fire was burning
Brightly deep in my chest.
Beauty quietly danced as the tables were turning.
I am one with you and the rest.
Months of meditation
Bring an incarnation
Of mountains and rivers within.
I lived last night, the healing fire was burning
Steadily under my skin.
